Daily Pre-Operation Inspection
Every aerial lift should receive a thorough inspection before each shift, as required by ANSI A92.22. Check all fluid levels, inspect tires, test all controls, verify safety devices, inspect the platform, check for hydraulic leaks, and test emergency lowering.
Weekly Maintenance Tasks
Lubricate all pivot points, clean battery terminals, inspect structural welds, check cylinder pins and fasteners, and test brake operation under load.
Annual Professional Service
Schedule professional service annually including hydraulic pressure testing, structural inspection, electrical system testing, and safety system calibration. Always use manufacturer-certified technicians.
Documentation
Maintain detailed records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs. ANSI standards require documentation of all maintenance activities.
